biotechnology. Job Title: SEM Specialist (Search Engine Marketing)
Location: Piscataway, NJ (Preferred, but open to US Remote) The
estimated salary range is $80,000 - $95,000, depending on
experience level. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute
integrated digital media strategies across paid search (Google
Ads), paid social (LinkedIn, Meta), programmatic/display, and
retargeting channels to generate qualified demand across biotech
customer segments. Lead full-funnel media planning and day-to-day
campaign operations, including audience segmentation, ABM list
activation, campaign setup, creative routing, budget pacing, bid
strategy optimization, and performance management. Define,
implement, and maintain robust conversion tracking, including GA4,
Google Tag Manager, UTM frameworks, multi-touch attribution models,
pixel placements, and event-based measurement. Partner closely with
content, design, and product marketing teams to review and refine
creative copy, ensure scientific accuracy, and provide detailed
channel-specific specifications for ad formats, targeting
requirements, placements, and optimization guidelines. Analyze
campaign performance using KPIs such as CTR, CPC, CPA, CPL, MQL,
and ROAS. Deliver recurring performance dashboards and
executive-ready reports with actionable insights, ROI assessment,
and data-driven recommendations. Optimize channel mix, audience
strategies, creative variations, and budget allocations to improve
efficiency and maximize pipeline contribution. Manage relationships
with external media agencies, MarTech vendors, and ABM platforms
(e.g., 6sense, RollWorks) to support scalable campaign execution.
Stay current on digital advertising best practices, platform
updates, AI-driven targeting capabilities, and industry regulations
relevant to biotech/life sciences promotion. Assess emerging
channels, tools, and tactics for potential adoption. Ensure
compliance with biotech marketing requirements, including
regulatory review processes, scientific claims accuracy, and
internal brand governance. Qualifications: 3 years of hands-on
experience in paid media operations, preferably within B2B biotech,
life sciences tools, pharmaceuticals, CDMO/CRO, or scientific
technology sectors. Proficiency in paid media platforms including
Google Ads, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Meta Ads Manager, and
programmatic DSPs. Experience with ABM platforms (6sense,
RollWorks) is preferred. Strong analytical and quantitative skills
with exceptional attention to detail. Proficient in GA4, Google Tag
Manager, Looker Studio, UTM mapping, attribution tracking, and
performance analytics. Demonstrated ability to review, refine, and
QA digital creative assets and copy. Strong understanding of
biotech-appropriate messaging, scientific credibility, and
audience-specific creative considerations. Knowledge of digital
media KPIs, bidding strategies, audience modeling, A/B testing, and
performance optimization methodologies. Google Ads Certifications
(Search, Display, Measurement, etc.) and/or LinkedIn Marketing
Certifications are a strong plus. Excellent verbal and written
communication skills, with the ability to translate performance
metrics into clear business insights for leadership and commercial
stakeholders. Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams,
including content, design, product marketing, regulatory, sales,
and regional marketing; ability to manage external agencies and
vendors. Ability to operate in a fast-paced, matrixed global
environment with strong project management, prioritization, and
