The Network Specialty Educator/Fellowship Coordinator's
responsibilities include developing, implementing, coordinating,
and evaluating the NICU Nurse Fellowship. In addition, this role
includes providing general specialty education contributing to
orientation, programs, policies/procedures and professional
development across the Network.
PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:
Sit up to 7 hours per day; 4 hours at a time. Stand for up to 4
hours per day; 2 hours at a time. Walk 6 hours per day; 20 minutes
at a time. Frequently use hands and fingers. Consistently lift,
carry and push objects up to 50 lbs. Occasionally stoop and bend.
Occasionally reach above shoulder level. Must be able to perceive
attributes of an object through touch. Must be able to hear as it
relates to normal conversation, and high and low frequencies. Must
be able to see as it relates to general, near, far, color and
peripheral vision. Manual dexterity for typing.
EDUCATION:
BSN required, Masters in Nursing preferred . Must achieve MSN
within 5 years of accepting position. Relevant teaching experience
in area of specialty preferred. Certification preferred on hire and
must attain within year one.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
Registered Nurse with a minimum of 3 years clinical experience in
the specialty with the ability to work with others in a diplomatic
manner and adapts to a changing environment with ease. Ability to
work independently or with minimal supervision required.
WORK SCHEDULE: as scheduled day, evening hours to meet the needs of
the department and student clinical rotations.
