Job Description:

Responsibilities:The Registrar schedules, greets, and registers the patients in a courteous and professional manner. The Registrar verify insurance benefits and check for authorization, pre-certification, physician order accuracy, and referral necessity. The Essential Functions of the Registrar:

• Obtains patients signatures for required forms and collects patient financial responsibility when required.
• Utilizes appropriate and professional verbal communication skills when conversing with patients and other internal and external customers on the telephone and in person to convey a high level of personal attention and promote customer satisfaction.
• Maintains up-to-date and accurate knowledge of insurance and managed care plans. Reads insurance memos and bulletins, maintains files and utilizes online insurance tools to assist patients and ensure the correct handling of payer information.
• Accurately records and verifies all patient information when interviewing patients/representatives to assure completeness of patient records.Qualifications:Education and Experience:High School Diploma/GED, 1 year of Patient Access/Registration, Admissions, Central Scheduling or Call Center experience, required Benefits:
