Job Description:

Primary Function: Responsible for assisting operators with setup and operation of blown film extruders, striving for safety, quality, efficiency, and minimal waste. Entry Level - willing to train the right candidate. Manufacturing experience preferred. General Responsibilities: Safely supports operators to produce materials that meet specifications. Monitor production to maintain quality. Perform quality testing on each batch of material produced. Prepare for upcoming jobs and helps with changeovers. Maintain production reports. Escalate machine problems and other issues affecting production to Supervisor/Manager. Observe plant safety policies. Report all safety related Near Misses and accidents immediately. Participate in department meetings and improvement projects. Keep department clean and remove trash as needed. Perform other related work as required. General Qualifications: Ability to work around machinery. Ability to operate a walk behind power lift. Use of hand tools, such as wrenches, scrapers, die gauges, screwdrivers, tape measures. Basic computer skills. Repetitive walking, bending, and stooping. Lifting requirement of over 50 lbs.
