OVERVIEW: We are seeking a Carrier Contract Specialist to support the Carrier Contracting Team of a national, rapidly growing insurance broker. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, high attention to detail, the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines and the ability to work effectively and autonomously with minimal supervision. Prior experience in the insurance industry (at an insurance carrier and/or insurance broker) is preferred, but not required.

RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to):

  • Partnering with the Manager, Carrier Administration with all tasks and duties related to the Carrier Contract Transition Process for newly acquired Patriot agencies
  • Contacting carriers about their appointment and book roll process
  • Gathering and completing carrier appointment paperwork
  • Responding to questions from and assisting agencies with carrier portal logins, commissions, communications, and proactive problem solving with local/national carrier representatives
  • Assisting agencies with new carrier appointments or BORs
  • Assisting with onboarding and integration of new acquisitions with carrier process
  • Maintaining internal spreadsheets and documentation related to the carrier contract transition process and assisting in overall organization of internal process
  • Reporting out progress to agencies and corporate team
  • Assisting with gathering and collating materials for webinars and presentations
  • Other tasks as assigned

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor's degree required
    • Insurance industry experience preferred but not required
    • Maintain professional demeanor and focus on objectives of overall project with all partners
    • Clearly and concisely articulate ideas, opinions, and information, in spoken and written form
    • Ability to work effectively and autonomously with minimal supervision
    • Ability to adapt behavior in dealing with changing situations and people
    • Ability to adjust priorities in response to unanticipated events
    • Ability to manage a variety of projects in an organized manner
    • Ability to work efficiently and quickly, while maintaining good work product
    • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive issues with maturity and professionalism
    • Excellent time management and organizational skills
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with employees and stakeholders at all levels
