Their contributions are evident through the sale of new products, development of intellectual property, publications, and customer interactions directed toward solving technical problems. Expected to exercise a high degree of autonomy when formulating decisions regarding project design and execution. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions (primary duties) of the job.Education/Experience:BS in Science or EngineeringAt least three years of lab/field experience required.Advanced degree in Science or Engineering preferred.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Must be able to perform physical and chemical experiments and tests in a lab, pilot plant, or plant settingAbility to operate a computerMust speak, read, write, and understand English.Knowledge industrial equipment/systems are required.Candidate must have the ability to function effectively in a self-directed team environment and show this ability through previous training and/or our own testing protocols.Lean (Operational Excellence) background a definite plus.Knowledge of computers and ability to learn, use and troubleshoot computer programs utilized at SMI is required.
