THE POSITION

Are you a positive individual who finds a sense of fulfillment working with the public and enjoys being in the great outdoors? Nockamixon State Park has a position for you.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

Ensures visitor safety, provides patrons with information and educates h public about park rules and regulations and protects park resources. Ensure posters, bulletin boards and signs are current. Directs park visitors away from hazardous and unsafe conditions/situations.Reports rule and regulation violations to appropriate personnel. Administers first-aid and/or CPR as necessary to injured park visitors. Assists in search and rescue operations within State Park grounds.

Covering shifts in the park office to issue permits, take revenue and make reservations for pavilions, boat mooring, cottages, yurts and other rentable park facilities. Take payments for other services and products.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

+ Seasonal full-time employment.

+ Work hours are: 11:00am - 7:00pm, with a 30-minute lunch.

+ Schedule can vary due to operational need. 7 day/week park operation. Will work weekends/ evenings.

+ Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Necessary Special Requirements:

+ All positions require possession of an active motor vehicle license.

+ All employees must obtain valid certification in standard first aid and adult, child, and infant CPR approved by the American Red Cross, American Heart Association, or equivalent within 60 days of employment.
