Overview

Lutron's Lighting Control Institute has an immediate opening for an Event Coordinator to schedule and manage customer training with our DIY, mid-market, and luxury customers. You will apply your experience within event project management to ensure customer trainings align with overall budgets and Lutron brand standards. You will manage risk, using your expertise and judgement in situations, to deliver high quality learning events for Lutron and our customers.

During your first few months, you will learn about Lutron products and services while hosting multiple educational events. This fast-paced environment will provide you with the opportunity to expand your product knowledge and build deep relationships across the company. This includes the day to day management of classroom setup, vendor coordination, and overall management of event logistics. You will build upon that knowledge to make recommendations to enhance the overall process used to manage these events.

Responsibilities

Foster and leverage strong relationships with executives, account and product / technical experts to deliver best-in-class customer and employee education.
Coordinate multiple schedules including transportation, catering, and trainers to ensure appropriate coverage for events.
Maintain working knowledge of Lutron technologies, channels, and relationships within Lutron.
Manage coordination of events at regional training sites across the US.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in project management, business, hospitality, or related field

3+ years' experience in project management, event management, sales, or related field

MS Office Suite, Salesforce.com experience

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Solid writing ability and organization skills
