Residential Counselor (RC)
**Now offering SIGN-ON BONUSES to select Full Time positions**
Allies Inc., transforms the lives of adults and children with disabilities providing support in group homes, day programs and community based programs throughout New Jersey. We are seeking new and experienced Residential Counselors to support youth (ages 11-18), with co-occurring psychiatric disorders and intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, in a residential program located in Hampton, New Jersey (Hunterdon County).
About the JobAs a Residential Counselor, you will support and rehabilitate youth with co-occurring diagnoses within a community-based residential setting. You will plan and implement the treatment team's interventions designed to assist youth in building skills needed to move to a less restrictive level of care and live as independently as possible.
Pay Rate: $17.55 increasing to $18.05 after 3-months of employment
Responsibilities:

  • Provides assistance with daily living skills and all other aspects of program operation with respect, dignity and within the youth's rights
  • Monitors medication and documents procedures
  • Assures that the daily program schedule, behavior support systems, and treatment interventions occur and are properly documented in accordance with the individuals' treatment plans and as directed by management
  • Encourages and ensures that individuals maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment providing hands-on assistance as needed
  • Works with each individual's treatment team and all other interested parties to build self-esteem, social capital, and a positive support network
    Requirements:
    • Bachelor's Degree in psychology, social work, or a relevant social services field
    • 21 years of age or older
    • Valid unrestricted driver's license with 5 or less points
    • Basic computer skills
    • Ability to lift and transfer at least 50 pounds
    • The ability to sit, stand, bend, squat, reach, and physically pursue clients on foot for several hours at a time***If offered a position, you will be required to attend up to five (5) full days of paid mandatory training located at our Headquarters Office in Hamilton, New Jersey.
