Responsibilities Position Summary:

The B. Braun Medical CFO is a key member of the leadership team and plays a critical role ensuring this ~$2.1 billion revenues business is continually evolving and changing to deliver success in the future while delivering consistent financial results today. The role provides strategic partnership to the B. Braun Medical in all matters pertaining to business model evolution, acquisition of new businesses, internal resource allocation, trade-offs and investment choices, and determining the right level of financial return in partnership with both the B. Braun Medical CEO and the global B. Braun Group of Companies management team. The B. Braun Medical CFO plays a critical part determining, driving and shaping business strategy, ensuring effectiveness of the acquisition agenda, determining and delivering annual targets and leading the finance team by ensuring the business has the right capabilities to deliver compliance with all financial and tax reporting obligations and to consistently deliver results. The leader we seek is skilled at engaging with high performing colleagues to support financial discipline, continuous performance delivery, business planning, and assessment of new business models, strategies and initiatives. S/he will help drive quality top line growth by leveraging the global B. Braun Group of Companies organization. The CFO will bring strategic, operational finance expertise to provide financial oversight for the continued growth of B. Braun Medical's business. The candidate will need to be a resilient financial leader focused on results and accountability, while utilizing exceptional relationship building skills to forge global alliances across the global organization. Critical qualities of the CFO include exceptional collaboration and influencing skills, superior finance acumen, a business partner attitude, strong communications skills, a creative, inquisitive approach to delivering value, and people leadership skills.

Strategic Partner: Serve as a member of the executive leadership team and key partner to the CEO and the management team in the development of strategic plans; ensure the linkage of those plans to annual budgets and forecasts. Foster high integrity and trusting relationships with the board, leadership team, regulators, and customers.

Operational Business Partner: Works closely with business leaders to provide relevant and timely analysis, benchmarks and business insights that inform business decisions and drive profitable growth. In addition, provides transformational project management support when needed.

Financial Planning & Analysis: Partner with business leaders to develop operating plans. Develop and review financial forecasts with senior management to ensure business performance is in line with expectations to achieve the company’s strategic goals. Develop and manage performance dashboards, including measures and metrics to monitor and analyze business. Provide financial and business decision leadership support for both ongoing business and the development of new growth opportunities. Ensure local risk management strategies compliant with local and group policies.

M&A/Business Development: Support the evaluation of M&A and other business development opportunities, including due diligence, negotiation/execution of transactions, and integration of acquired businesses.

Accounting/Controls/Financial Reporting: Strong financial management and reporting. Implement financial policies, plans, and procedures in line with the group’s global strategy and business objectives. Supervise the preparation of timely and accurate financial reports including tax filings, and analysis of performance

variance and cash flow to the strictest standards of accounting and the law. Ensure the fiscal integrity of the company’s business including all subsidiaries and intercompany business relations through the enhancement and management of accounting systems and controls in accordance with IFRS accounting standards. Manage the relationship with the company’s external auditors and oversee the internal audit function. Liaise closely with Global finance functions, e.g., Accounting, Treasury, Tax, and Controlling to align procedures with global guidelines.

Information Technology: Serve as a key enabler of B. Braun’s business strategy by leading an effective IT team and governance process. Elevate the technology and digital discussion by playing a leading role in the execution of B. Braun’s strategy, serving as a champion of technology innovation, transformation, and digitization. Lead the enhancement of the technology and digital strategy roadmap and ensure its integration with the overall B. Braun strategic plan.

Digitalization: Support global digitalization by participating in key global initiatives on digitalization that will result in streamlined and harmonized processes across the Group.

Key Stakeholder & Customer Focus: E ffective relationships with key customers, investors, key opinion leaders, alliance partners, payers, patient organizations and the financial community to identify and align strategy priorities and achieve business results.

Team leadership: Recruit, develop, motivate and retain a highly effective finance team capable of working closely alongside corporate and business unit leadership teams to help drive results. Develop the next generation of finance talent for the organization.

Partner effectively with the senior leadership team to build the business and drive continued growth, profitability and commercial success.

Drive an even greater level of financial sophistication throughout the operations with respect to operating finance, budgets, planning/analysis and performance metrics.

Expertise: Knowledge & Skills

Senior finance experience

Ideally 15+ years in finance roles with increasing responsibility including a divisional/regional CFO role in a medium or large sized company.

Industry focus

Experience in a global manufacturing business is required; life sciences experience is desirable but not required.

Global experience

Global perspective and multi-cultural fluency are desirable.

Qualifications Expertise: Qualifications - Experience/Training/Education/Etc

Required:

Strong academic credentials, including an undergraduate degree in finance, accounting or business administration.

A CPA or MBA.
