Interstate Waste Services, a leader in environmental sustainability and waste management in the U.S. Northeast, is seeking a dedicated Manager of Site Operations for our Material Recovery Facility (MRF). This position plays a critical role in our mission to enhance operational efficiency and promote recycling initiatives. The successful candidate will oversee day-to-day operations, ensure compliance with environmental regulations, and lead our teams toward achieving excellence in service and environmental stewardship. Oversee the daily operations of the MRF, ensuring that processes are efficient and effective. Manage and coordinate the activities of operational staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation. Implement and monitor systems to maximize material recovery and minimize waste. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations concerning waste management and health and safety standards. Collaborate with other departmental managers to develop strategies for operational improvement and innovation. Prepare operational reports for senior management and suggest methods for improvements. Manage budget and operational costs, with a focus on reducing expenses and enhancing system efficiency.
