System Freight, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and experienced Professional Driver to join our team, specializing in direct-to-store deliveries and fleet outsourcing services. In this role, you will be crucial in ensuring that goods are transported efficiently and safely across the Northeastern United States, using our state-of-the-art logistics infrastructure. As a part of our team, you will uphold our commitment to timely delivery, ensuring satisfaction for a broad range of clients. Operate various types of vehicles safely and efficiently while complying with all company policies, local, state, and federal regulations. Complete daily logs and reports, including delivery schedules, vehicle inspection reports, and mileage records. Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations personnel to convey pickup and delivery statuses or potential service delays. Ensure timely delivery and proper handling of cargo, including loading and unloading of goods as needed. Maintain professionalism and quality service during interactions with customers and store personnel. Adhere to scheduled routes, delivery times, and safety procedures, ensuring maximum productivity and service standards. Monitor delivery vehicle maintenance, report mechanical issues, and ensure cleanliness and functionality. Strong driving skills with the ability to operate a variety of vehicle types in various weather conditions. Excellent time management to adhere to predefined delivery schedules. Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective interactions with coworkers and customers. Basic mechanical knowledge to manage minor vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
