Job Description:

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Senior Software Engineer with Magic-XPA experience for a long-term Contract assignment with one of our premier Insurance clients. This is a 100% remote role and the candidate can be U.S. based or offshore. If offshore, the person must have a work time overlap until at least 11 am ET. The team sits in Bethlehem, PA.



As a Senior Software Engineer, you will develop new annuity products, enhance existing products with new rider features, and be involved in production support for the annuity policy administration system, Transcend. You will be working in a Kanban environment and leading a product by understanding business requirement and refining it for further development. Your Annuity business knowledge will help in communicating with business leaders.



Responsibilities :

• 
  
• Work with business partners, business analysts, and the product owner to design and build Annuity products.
  
• Work with system administrators such as Database, Unix, Windows, and Securities to ensure product design complies with the firm's standards.
  
• Collaborate with support, release, and QA team to test and deploy code.
  
• Collaborate with leaders to refine and estimate epics for business priority.
  
• Server as a leader to reduce production defects by continuously enhancing the process of development and testing.
  
  
  
  Required Skills:
  
  
  • 
    
  • 10+ years of development experience
    
  • Business knowledge of any Annuity platform
    
  • Recent experience in low-code programming language Magic-XPA is a must
    
  • 10+ years of design and development of databases (e.g., Oracle or any RDMS)
    
  • Unix Shell Scripting experience
    
  • Agile experience
