Responsibilities Position Summary:The Director, Technical Accounting position ensures that the organization's managerial reporting (product divisions) financial statement assertions (completeness, valuation, rights/obligations, disclosure/presentation) are accurately and sufficiently addressed in accordance with U.S. and International Accounting Standards. Position responsible for creating financial forecasts for product divisions. Position also promotes and directly influences an effective and efficient financial internal control environment by which the organization operates. Responsibilities: Essential DutiesLeads multi year, large and complex strategic programs comprising of product development and capital engineering projects through the life cycle of the program.Collaboratives with various key stakeholders and functions such as Sales & Marketing, R&D, Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, Quality as well as Regulatory Affairs.As related to assigned strategic projects, leads a matrixed program team, provide day to day management/ oversight and be accountable to deliver the program aligned with its business objectives - intent/ scope, cost and schedule. Develop and gain approval for overall integrated plans, schedules, budgets, resource requirements for the program; Define and implement program execution strategy, communication plan, scope/cost/schedule change management process and program risk management approach.Plans, directs, monitors and is responsible for the operation performance related to safety, quality, productivity, cost, new product/technology introduction and technical knowhow. Ensures all goals are met.Leads and manages a group of employees to achieve the organization goals and objectives, including recruitment, training, development and performance management.Expertise: Knowledge & Skill RequirementsIndepth knowledge of U.S. GAAP, previous experience with IFRS a plus.Experience with creating monthly legal financial statements and preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports.Experience with financial forecasting and budgeting, including supporting senior functional department management in creating effective and accurate departmental forecasts Indepth knowledge of Microsoft Excel, knowledge of Access a plus.Knowledge of department and company procedures and policies.Cross-functional knowledge of areas within Finance.Solid understanding of business operations and Finance's role in such.Experience with professional and effective communication (written and verbal) with personnel within and outside of the organizationAbility, to gather, analyze and explain data and variations. QualificationsRequired:Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.10-15 years related experience, plus a minimum of 5 years management experience required.Applicable industry/professional certification preferred, CPA or CMARegular and predictable attendanceFrequent business travel required, Valid driver's license and passport Additional Information Expertise: Knowledge & Skills Requires breadth of professional field and industry knowledge. Ability to integrate critical information and champion advanced strategies/concepts through the organization. Drives development of advanced technologies, principles and processes.Manages activities of a functional area which has at least 2 departments or major functions through managers and/or experienced employees. Responsible for cost, method, and employee results.Judgement is required in resolving complex problems based on experience.Represents the organization as a prime contact on projects and departmental operations.
