Activities include posting requisitions, screening applications, assisting with the hiring process, completing reference and background checks, advertising, coordination of Recruitment events, etc. The Travel Recruitment /Specialist serves as a resource to employees, managers and candidates to the Travel Recruitment function and also as a back up to the Travel Recruitment Manager for approvals within Kronos & Workday. In this role, he/she interacts with all levels of the organization, Network and community.JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists with all recruitment efforts for travel staff.-- Works closely with managers and serves as a resource for them in terms of staffing needs, interviewing processes, recruitment initiatives, and Workday questions, etc.----
  • Initiates, updates and maintains job postings within Workday for assigned departments.--
  • Runs openings reports as needed.
  • Posts available positions upon request or other online sites as needed.
  • Screens applications, resumes and transfer requests and conducts screening interviews with candidates.
  • Schedules candidates for interviews.
  • Completes reference, background, and licensing checks on potential employees, ensuring all documentation is in order prior to initiating the process.
  • Works with candidate on scheduling the pre-employment physical and initiates employment paperwork through Workday.
  • Prepares and sends offer letters, rejection letters or other correspondence through Workday, in anticipation of the candidates start date.--
  • Clears candidate to commence employment, based on results of physical and background checks.--
  • Notifies Travel Recruitment Manager immediately if there are any issues with the pre-employment or onboarding processes.
  • Facilitates the New Employee Network Orientation Sessions for Travel Staff --
  • Maintains contact with talent and clinical departments throughout the contracted term to ensure everything is working well and assess continued need for talent within the current placement or suitability for the talent to be redirected to another clinical department with need within the network.
  • Communicates with potential talent throughout the recruitment process, including continued contact with a pool of talent that while not a current fit, could fit network needs in the future.
  • Makes approval in Kronos for travel staff as back up to Travel Staff Manager Works in cooperation with personnel from other Network campuses on various recruitment related projects/issues.PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:Sitting for up to six hours per day, one hour at a time.-- Standing for up to one hour per day.-- Walking up to four hours per day, thirty minutes at a time. Fingering and handling continuously.-- Twisting/turning of hands occasionally.-- Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds frequently.-- Pushing and pulling up to 75 pounds occasionally.-- Occasionally stoops, bends, squats, crouches, and kneels.-- Frequent reaching above shoulder level.-- Hearing as it relates to normal conversation.-- Seeing as it relates to general, near and visual monotony.
    SUPERVISION (RECEIVED AND/OR GIVEN):Supervised by Travel Recruitment Manager.-- Must be able to work independently.
    COMMUNICATIONS:Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.-- Must project a professional image.-- Requires daily interactions with personnel at all levels of the hospital, Network, outside organizations/businesses and the community.
    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:Must have ability to handle multiple projects/issues at one time while maintaining a customer focus.-- Ability to travel and work under limited supervision.--
    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION:Associates Degree required, --Bachelors preferred; SHRM-CP or PHR desirable
    TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:Minimum of 2 - 3 years of experience required.-- Experience in a recruiting, temporary staffing setting, and on-boarding/credentialing experience preferred. Proven ability to multi-task and ability to work in an environment where priorities may change daily.-- Positive, upbeat, critical thinker, where accuracy is demanded.
