Summary:The Technical Buyer will be responsible for procuring electronic and mechanical parts, assemblies, equipment, goods and services to support The Company's internal manufacturing and it's Packaging Equipment Division.Responsibilities:Work closely with project managers and engineers in sourcing materials and services based on engineering designs and schedules.Review engineering drawings for new parts and subsystems, analyze and stratify quotations to maximize business objectives.Lead cross-functional teams through the supplier selection process including the communication of requirements, schedules, deadlines, strategic objectives and risks.Develop, analyze, execute strategies, including industry trends and technologies with a goal to proactively identify new opportunities, minimize risk and protect continuity of supply.Identify and execute opportunities for procurement cost reduction and supplier performance improvement.Create supplier scorecards and manage supplier quality.Develop and issue Request for Quotations (RFQs); plan and lead negotiations; negotiate terms & conditions, progressive payment schedules and performance-based milestones.Negotiate supply agreements with assistance of the Procurement Manager and Director of Procurement.Requirements:3+ years sourcing experience of custom machined and or fabricated parts.Ability to read blue prints, mechanical drawings, understand Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).----Experience sourcing capital equipment is highly desired.Understanding of machine tool and welding processes.Strong interpersonal skills required to interact with internal customers and suppliers.Demonstrated leadership, organization, planning, administration and team playing skills.MRP Experience (Syteline or other).Proficient in MS OfficeAssociates Degree in Business or Engineering is preferred.--
