Job Description:
Job Description The Behavioral Social Health Technician supports
individuals with behavioral health needs by providing direct care,
monitoring, and assistance in daily activities. This role works
closely with clinical staff to implement care plans, promote a safe
and therapeutic environment, and encourage positive behavioral
outcomes. Key Responsibilities Provide direct support and
supervision to individuals with behavioral health conditions Assist
in implementing individualized care and treatment plans Monitor and
document patient behavior, progress, and any changes in condition
Support daily living activities, including hygiene, meals, and
structured routines Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive
environment Respond appropriately to behavioral incidents or crises
following established protocols Communicate effectively with
clinical staff and team members regarding patient status Ensure
accurate and timely documentation in accordance with policies and
procedures Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience in
behavioral health required BLS required from American Heart
Association Strong understanding of behavioral health practices and
patient support techniques Ability to manage challenging behaviors
in a calm and professional manner Excellent communication and
interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively within a
multidisciplinary team Basic documentation and organizational
skills High school diploma or equivalent required (additional
certifications in behavioral health or related field preferred)
Important Details: 13-week contract position (extension possibly)
Shift is 7.50 hrs/evening shift (3 PM - 11:30 PM), 37.50 hrs/week
Location is New York, NY 10016 Pay Rate for Locals: $32 - $36
