Responsibilities - Conduct patient assessments and monitor vital signs to evaluate health status. - Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including IV insertion. - Collaborate with healthcare professionals in a laboratory setting to support patient care. - Educate patients and their families on health management and wellness strategies. - Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations. - Support the nursing team in various tasks, ensuring a safe and effective environment for patient care. Requirements - Current licensure as a Practical Nurse in PA. - Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred, especially in internal medicine or teaching hospitals. - Proficiency in performing vital sign assessments, IV insertion, and patient assessment techniques. - Knowledge of cardiac catheterization procedures is highly desirable. - Familiarity with laboratory protocols and coding practices is a plus. - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and team members. - Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while providing compassionate care. - Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to nursing best practices.
