MRI Tech Location: White Plains, NY Agency: Cynet Health Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Shift Information: 4 days x 10 hours Start Date: ASAP About the Position Shift Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday 1:00 PM – 11:00 PM Description Performs routine and select specialized imaging procedures. Prepares patients for exams and assists radiologists when needed. Operates and maintains imaging equipment in accordance with standards of care. Assumes responsibility for assigned duties and participates in continuing education. Delivers patient care while upholding professional imaging practices. Positions patients correctly per protocol and ensures accurate documentation. Reviews images for quality and completeness based on test type. Assists physicians during procedures and performs equipment calibrations and quality checks. Responds to emergency procedures as needed. Maintains cleanliness of equipment and reports malfunctions to supervisor. Prints patient CDs when necessary. Completes front desk tasks such as answering phones, checking in patients, and retrieving prior reports. Alerts front desk upon exam completion and communicates STAT results when required. May serve as instructor or preceptor. Educates patients and families about the procedures. Provides care across age groups, including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Participates in staff meetings and in-services. Covers other outpatient sites as required. May be asked to work holidays, overtime, or other shifts to maintain adequate facility coverage. Performs all other related duties as assigned. Eligible for certification incentive. Requirements Graduate of an accredited radiography school or hospital-based program Certified by ARRT or ARMRIT, or must obtain ARRT MR certification within one year of hire Must meet continuing education standards (currently 24 ECE credits over two years) BLS certification from the American Heart Association (required within 90 days of hire) IV certification preferred (or to be obtained within six months of orientation) Annual MRI Safety Level 2 certification required Requirements Required for Onboarding ARMRIT BLS BLS - AHA Core Competency Skills Checklist Specialty Exam
