Registered Nurse (RN) | Interventional Radiology Location: Bronx, NY Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,760 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/3/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Interventional Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Days Hours per Shift: 34.5 hours per week Experience: Minimum 1 year in Interventional Radiology License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have: PALS certification is mandatory. Description: The unit has one Interventional Radiology room. The average number of procedures per day is 5-8. IV starts and CT preparations are performed for approximately 50 patients each day. Common diagnoses include various biopsies and complex vascular procedures. The role involves managing patients in all three phases of the procedure: pre, intra, and post. Assessment and charting are performed according to the Radiology Flowsheet. Communication with the physician and mid-level providers regarding patient care plans is essential. IV insertions and CT preparations for scheduled patients are required. Critical care exposure or experience is a bonus. The electronic medical records system used is Allscripts. Documentation includes both electronic and paper charting. Shifts typically run from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. Lunch break is generally one hour, with two 15-minute breaks during the shift. Travelers are encouraged to maintain flexibility in scheduling. No call or floating is required outside of IR-specific cases. Scrub color is royal blue, with surgical scrubs or disposables allowed in specific areas. Orientation consists of three shifts, with additional support provided as needed.
