Our organization is in high growth mode, which can provide opportunities for advancement for individuals looking for career progression!$1000 SIGN ON BONUSSchedule:Monday-Friday 9:00pm-5:30am with weekend rotationState pharmacy tech license as requiredNational certification preferredPrevious pharmacy experience preferredOur Benefits Include:Competitive payShift differentialHealth, dental, & visionCompany paid STD & LTDPaid Time OffFlexible SchedulesTuition Reimbursement401kEmployee Discount ProgramDaily PayOur team at PharMerica promotes a variety of initiatives designed to enhance the work and personal lives of our employees, celebrate diversity and improve the communities where we work and live.Pharmacy Technician License Fees, we've got your covered!New hire and current employees are eligible re reimbursement for license fees (as required).If your passion is service excellence and top-quality care,come join our team!*Position will be posted for a minimum of 7 business daysResponsibilitiesFills prescription items, as permitted by the State Board of Pharmacy, packaging medications for dispensing and for delivery, meeting the accuracy and productivity standards of the pharmacyLabels products appropriately, including cautionary or auxiliary labelsParticipates in the periodic inventory of the pharmacyMay check in drugs and supplies, stock shelves and remove out-of-date items from the inventoryPrepares medications including emulsions, liquids, powders and ointments, which may include non-sterile compoundingCommunicates with internal and external customers in a pleasant and professional mannerMay process returned medications from the facility for credit or destructionAssists in the training of new employeesAlso performs at least one of the following:Works in the Controlled Drugs (Narcotics) Room;Works with automated machine to prepack drugs;Manages inventory functions such as monitoring pharmaceutical levels and identify expired medications, managing to the pharmacy standard for Days on Hand;Inputs patient data and medication orders into a computer system to produce labels (data entry);Mixes/packages IV medications, sanitizes IV room, equipment and hoodServices facility-based medication dispensing machines (e.g., RxNow)Performs other tasks as assignedQualificationsRequired: High School diploma or equivalent. Experience in a pharmacy setting and with medical terminology. Ability to operate a computer; ability to recognize and identify medications. Detail oriented; goal oriented, team player, effective oral communication.
