Logistics Manager is responsible for management and oversight of
special events including event housing, catering, travel, ground
transportation, and uniform selection. This position is responsible
for managing these events and programs to ensure communications,
projects andinitiatives are completed on time and under budget.
This position works directly across all internal departments to
developand execute a clearly defined strategy that supports the
business plan as well as develops new strategies for all special
events and programs . This position is responsible for managing
project timelines and workflow for eventslogistics.Skills:Degree in
project management, hospitality or a related field; or combination
of education and experience (Required).- Minimum of 5 years
experience in special events, logistics, project, account, and
vendor management (Required).- Ability to effectively present
information and respond to questions from members, executive
management, staff, andvendor partners.- Creative strategic thinker,
who can apply out of the box thinking to facilitate successful
negotiations,problem-solving and big picture concepts.- Ability to
shift and prioritize projects and work with other team members to
meet deadlines in a high volume,fast-paced environment.- Excellent
planning, organizational and project management skills with a
strong attention to detail.- Ability to run & manage several events
and programs at one time.- Be proficient at developing
PowerPoint/Keynote presentations and delivering important content
to large groups.- Able to accomplish goals with minimal
supervision.- Excellent organization and technical skills (MS Word,
Excel, PowerPoint, knowledge with registration systems) withgoogle
suite, Slack and Asana, familiarity with event management software
programs (social tables, RSVPify, Cvent,Teamworks).What you will
do:- Manage all aspects of assigned projects; plan and
coordinate/delegate program tasks.- Create and manage promotional
plans.- Effectively serve as the main point of contact for program
participants - internal team and outside vendors andpartners.-
Provide consistent, timely, high-quality work and expect that of
others.- Ensure flawless execution on day-to-day management of
special events, projects and housing needs.- Supervision of overall
project execution internally, including program development with
outside vendor andinternal teams, marketing of program, judging and
selection, contract negotiations, program content and more.- Work
with Senior Manager, Events as well as Director of Marketing to
ensure content deliverables andmarketing are meeting business
expectations.- Collect, maintain and manage recipient's assets and
content, recruitment and engagement.- Establish project timelines,
define a workflow schedule, and execute tasks to meet project
deadlines.- Oversee logistics for special programs, developing and
executing promotional plans.- Work closely with department members
to manage meeting and event strategies, goals and key
performanceindicators (KPIs).- Collaborate with other team members
on identifying, planning, and managing key deliverables,
activities, budgetsand deadlines for individual events.- Serve as
the point of contact for vendors involved in event activities;
manage process anddeliverables.- Manage the process with the
Creative Services team to produce promotional materials and
publications.- Negotiate contracts with various vendors for
products, services and deliverables; as well as initiate and
managerequests for proposals and bid processes.Interested in
