Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The Sr. Director, Marketing Strategic Pricing is responsible for overall development, communication and execution of business and marketing strategy and customer profitability management through pricing and value-capture activities at both the strategic and tactical levels serves as an effective liaison executive management, Marketing, Sales, Finance, and legal.

Responsibilities: Essential Duties

  • Has comprehensive knowledge of pricing processes and systems.
  • Uses comprehensive, depth and breadth of pricing science understanding to drive enablement of innovative strategic pricing approaches.
  • Understands and anticipates implication/impact of market conditions, field response and competitive response in support of pricing strategies.
  • Creates analysis and recommendations that create new value opportunities.
  • Reviews market trends, customer insights and profitability analytics to ensure reasonableness of findings and seeks cross functional input in pricing development strategies.
  • Clearly articulates and reinforces pricing strategies throughout the organization.
  • Maintains strong communication across the Marketing, Sales, Finance and Executive team.
  • Provides subject matter expertise to the commercial teams on pricing strategy and implementation.
  • Develops and drive data driven pricing guidelines /tools for the commercial teams.
  • Develops tools to guide the commercial teams in developing pricing strategies, implement pricing improvement programs and track impact including scenario impact models on pricing and profitability within key markets, customers and channels.
  • Develops pricing SOP's.
  • Leads annual review of current pricing strategies and development of recommendations for next calendar year.
  • Prepare executive level reports of findings and opportunities to increase price attainment.
  • Provide analysis and support for pricing initiatives including setting list price and customer specific strategies.
  • Partners with product launch teams to determine new product pricing positioning optimizing price and value.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis as required.
  • Works with master data to ensure accuracy of pricing information in business systems.
  • Product lifecycle pricing frameworks across platforms leveraging of value products, and margin optimization and price capture to support BBMI North America's profitable growth objectives.
  • Value based NPI pricing methodology across platforms linked to product launch excellence process and focusing on full BBMI North America portfolio.
  • Manage the newly created Deal Desk Insights & Analytics team. Responsible for personnel actions including hiring, performance management and termination.
  • Framework for active price adjustment process across product portfolios incorporating pre-defined triggers such as competitor pricing, demand, inflation, sales and positioning strategy leveraging existing and new data and analytics capabilities

      Qualifications

      Expertise: Qualifications - Experience/Training/Education/Etc

      Required:
      • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university in marketing, business or related field with focus on finance.
      • 10-15 years related experience required, plus a minimum of 5 - 7 years management experience required
      • Applicable industry/professional certification preferred.
      • Regular and predictable attendance
      • Occasional business travel required, Valid driver's license and passport, Secrecy and invention agreement and non-compete agreement While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.
