Whether you work in one of our chapters, are an accountant at the national office or a specialist in our Information Resource Center, you work each day on making our mission a reality: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. -Join us and give new meaning to the word, "job."OverviewThe Senior Manager, Foundation Relations will lead the effort develop and implement a research plan to identify private and family foundation prospects nationwide, with the goal of growing the breadth and depth of LLSs foundation fundraising effort. He/she will also strategize and determine which foundations to prioritize and if, when and how to approach them, including applying for grants and stewarding relationships with foundations that award grants. -As a valued member of LLS, you are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package.   • Collaborate and strategize with VP, Foundation Relations, National and Regional Advancement Staff, and Research, Education & Services and Advocacy teams to develop a plan and approach foundations to support the LLS mission.
  • Lead the effort to develop and implement a research plan to identify new foundation prospects for LLS. Qualify foundation prospects identified by Regional or National staff.
  • Write letters of inquiry (LOIs), grant proposals, progress reports, acknowledgements, emails and other correspondence with foundations. Review and edit LOIs, proposals and other materials written by Advancement staff to prepare them for submission to foundations.
  • Advise and strategize with VP, Foundation Relations and determine which foundations to prioritize, and plan when and how to approach them.
  • Develop plans for and participate in meetings with foundation donors and prospects. Write meeting plans, talking points, and create power point presentations for meetings with foundations.
  • Ensure that all contractual requirements are satisfied on awarded grants. Enter and track all activities relating to foundations, including prospects and donors, in Salesforce.QualificationsEducation & Experience Requirements: -
    • Bachelor's degree; minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience grant writing and prospect researching required.
    • Excellent research skills.
    • Strong writing skills with extreme attention to detail.
    • Skilled at preparing presentation decks and navigating research databases. Physical Demands & Work Environment:
