problems others can’t? Hourly pay: $19.00–$21.00, plus bonus
Imagine a customer drops off a truck-mounted carpet cleaning unit
that’s losing suction. You open a service order, diagnose airflow
and engine performance using test equipment and OEM manuals, spot a
secondary issue, and prepare a bid with a clear estimate. You
schedule the repair in our software, update the customer by phone,
order parts from a vendor, and coordinate the workload with another
technician so the job hits quality and productivity targets. If
that scenario sounds like your kind of challenge, read on. What
you’ll take on Full-spectrum diagnostics and repairs for commercial
cleaning, restoration, and surface-prep equipment. Accurate use of
testing tools, troubleshooting guides, and manufacturer repair
documentation. Proactive identification and communication of
additional service needs. Creation of service orders for incoming
equipment; professional estimates and bids. Customer communication
in person, via phone, and by email. Scheduling and maintaining
appointments in service software. Parts sourcing and vendor
coordination to keep repairs on track. Shop workload coordination
with fellow technicians and service work alignment with store
employees. Proper use and care of shop tools; maintain a clean,
organized, and safe work area. Follow supervisory direction and
assist teammates; consistently push toward quality and productivity
goals. Tools of the trade (equipment you’ll see) Basic automotive
systems and 2-, 3-, & 4-cylinder gasoline engines Truck-mounted
carpet cleaning units Portable carpet extractors Hard-surface floor
cleaning machines Duct cleaning equipment Deodorizing equipment
Dehumidifiers Air scrubbers and air movers HEPA vacuums What sets
you up for success Preferred background: 2 years in commercial
cleaning/restoration equipment, small engine service, pressure
washer repair/maintenance, or vehicle repair/maintenance. Driver &
record: Valid driver license and clean MVR (no DUIs or
Careless/Reckless driving within 3 years). Education & toolkit:
High school diploma or equivalent; your own basic mechanic’s tools.
Mechanical mindset: High technical skill, strong mechanical
aptitude, and meticulous attention to detail. Diagnostic edge:
Efficient, accurate problem-solving and decision-making. Safety
first: Always wear PPE such as safety glasses and hearing
protection. Professional standard: Deliver quality work on time
with a professional appearance and demeanor; communicate clearly
and use computers confidently. Capacity: Lift 50 lbs regularly;
available for occasional overtime. Nice to have: Bilingual
