registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1 years RN experience
required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not
be considered. A contracted School Nurse position is available to
provide essential health services during the summer session in
Bangor, PA. This role focuses on student wellness and safety within
an onsite school setting from July 6 to July 30, working Monday
through Thursday, 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Key Responsibilities: -
Assess and treat student illnesses and injuries, providing
immediate first aid as necessary. - Deliver preventive health
services that support students physical, mental, emotional, and
social development. - Educate students, parents/guardians, and
school staff on relevant health topics. - Maintain open
communication with students and families regarding health issues. -
Execute the school health program and ensure accurate health
recordkeeping. - Promote and maintain a safe and healthy school
environment. Qualifications and Experience: - Valid Pennsylvania
license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse
(LPN). - Certification as an Educational Specialist from the
Pennsylvania Department of Education. - Bachelor of Science in
Nursing (BSN) preferred. - Current Red Cross CPR and First Aid
Instructor certifications. - Preferably 35 years of nursing
experience, especially in pediatrics or school nursing. - Ability
to perform physical tasks including standing, bending, reaching,
and lifting 1025 pounds. - Strong communication skills encompassing
vision, hearing, and speech. - Independence in mobility throughout
school facilities. Location: - Bangor, Pennsylvania onsite school
