Education supervises the Clinical Pastoral Education of the
department, including all programs of Clinical Pastoral Education
and the educational partnership with the community. Provides
spiritual care and counseling to patients, families, hospital, and
medical staff and serves as primary supervisor for CPE students and
CPE Educator. Maintains professional and denominational credentials
and certifications.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:
Sitting up to 4 hours daily; 2 hours at a time. Walking up to 1
hour daily. Uses hands and fingers frequently. Rarely lifts or
carries up to 10 pounds. Occasionally stoops, bends, squats,
crouches or kneels. Rarely reaches above shoulder level. Hearing,
as it relates to normal conversation. Seeing, as it relates to
general vision.
EDUCATION:
Minimum of M.Div. (or equivalency) from an ATS accredited
school.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
ACPE Associate Supervisor or ACPE Supervisor status. Minimum of 2
years' experience supervising interns and/or residents in an acute
care hospital setting. Experience coordinating a CPE Program and
ACPE Accreditation preferred. Board Certified Chaplain a plus.
