health care. The Secretary provides secretarial support to the
Student Services department. Performs clerical duties as it
pertains to the daily operations of the Student Services
Department/School of Nursing. Plans and implements special
functions of the School. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Answers
telephone in a customer friendly manner, routes messages to
appropriate offices/departments, and provides accurate information
to prospective/enrolled students, hospital personnel and the
community. Prepares written correspondence and forms relative to
Student Services as directed by the Coordinator Student Services.
Performs clerical duties as it pertains to the daily operations of
the Student Services Department and School of Nursing (i.e. mail,
ordering of supplies, scheduling of Trexler meeting rooms).
Coordinates maintenance/renovations of the Trexler building. Plans
and implements special functions of the School as directed.
Prepares printed documents for the Student Services Department.
Prepares and distributes student portfolios and advisor/advisee
folders to students and faculty. Coordinates distribution of keys,
security access cards and parking permits to faculty, students and
other authorized persons. Assists in assigning dormitory rooms to
students, personnel and guests, and coordinates Environmental
Services for Trexler Residence. Maintains School, faculty and
student information boards. Participates in educational and
in-service programs as required. PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:
Sitting for up to seven hours per day, three hours at a time.
Frequently uses fingers for typing and data entry. Frequent use of
hands. Uses upper extremities to lift up to ten pounds. Rarely
reaches above shoulder level. Occasionally stoops and bends.
Hearing as it relates to normal conversation. Seeing as it relates
to general vision, near and far vision, peripheral vision, and
depth perception. EDUCATION: Associate Degree in
Business/Secretarial Science or equivalent experience. TRAINING AND
EXPERIENCE: Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Word,
Access, Excel, Power Point and graphic design. Must have knowledge
and skill in electronic information systems, data processing, data
retrieval, and data manipulation. Please complete your application
