Firm) Location: Downtown Richmond, VA (on-site) Parking: On-site
parking included Position Summary The Accounts Payable Accountant
is responsible for managing the firm???s full-cycle accounts
payable processes while supporting payroll operations. This role
requires prior law firm experience , strong attention to detail,
and the ability to work within a fast-paced, deadline-driven
environment. The ideal candidate will have a solid accounting
foundation, experience handling confidential financial data, and
the ability to collaborate effectively with attorneys, vendors, and
Key Responsibilities Accounts Payable Process full-cycle accounts
payable, including reviewing, coding, and entering vendor invoices
Ensure proper approvals, accurate general ledger coding, and timely
payment of invoices Manage vendor relationships and respond to
invoice and payment inquiries Reconcile vendor statements and
research discrepancies Assist with 1099 preparation and reporting
Maintain organized and compliant AP records in accordance with firm
policies Payroll Support Assist with payroll processing on a
regular schedule (weekly, biweekly, or semi-monthly) Review payroll
data for accuracy, including time entries, deductions, and
adjustments Support payroll reconciliations and resolve
discrepancies Ensure compliance with internal controls and
confidentiality requirements General Accounting & Support Assist
with month-end close activities related to accounts payable and
payroll Prepare account reconciliations as assigned Support audits
by providing requested documentation Collaborate with HR and
Finance on payroll and employee-related accounting matters Perform
additional accounting duties as needed Qualifications Required
Associate's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum of 3 years of accounts payable experience Prior experience
in a law firm or professional services environment Payroll
processing or payroll support experience Strong knowledge of
accounting principles and AP best practices High level of accuracy,
discretion, and attention to detail Pay Details: $55,000.00 to
