Our client a global biotech firm in the Allentown, PA area is
looking for a Finance Manager. The Finance Manager will be leading
financial planning and analysis processes, including budgeting,
forecasting, and variance analysis for the global biotech firm.
You'll collaborate with department heads to provide strategic
insights and support decision-making. Additionally, you'll prepare
financial reports for senior management, conduct ad hoc analysis,
and drive process improvements. Ideal candidates have a strong

- Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with
department heads to develop comprehensive budgets aligned with
strategic objectives.
- Develop rolling forecasts to provide insights into short and
long-term financial performance.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify key drivers of financial
performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Prepare financial models and scenarios to support strategic
decision-making.
- Management Reporting:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for
senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and
trends.
- Develop and maintain dashboards to track financial and
operational metrics, providing actionable insights to
stakeholders.
- Business Partnering:
- Collaborate with department heads to provide financial insights
and support for business initiatives and projects.
- Partner with the R&D and Commercial teams to evaluate
investment opportunities and assess the financial impact of new
product launches or acquisitions.
- Work closely with the Accounting team to ensure accurate and
timely financial reporting.
- Financial Analysis:
- Conduct ad hoc financial analysis to support strategic
initiatives, investment decisions, and operational
improvements.
- Evaluate pricing strategies, cost structures, and profitability
to optimize financial performance.
- Perform scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to assess
potential risks and opportunities.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and
improve efficiency.
- Implement best practices in financial planning and analysis to
enhance the quality and accuracy of financial forecasts and
reporting.
- Continuously assess and improve financial models and tools to
support decision-making. Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA
or CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial planning and
analysis, preferably in the biotech or pharmaceutical
industry.
- Experience managing a small team preferred
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex
data into actionable insights.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and advanced Excel skills;
experience with financial planning software is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the
ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional
teams.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and integrity in
financial reporting.
- Proven track record of driving process improvements and
implementing best practices.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and
