X-Ray Technologist Saturday and Sunday 8:00 AM-8:00 PM! Premium
weekend rates, including benefits.$3,000 Sign on Bonus for
qualified applicants! The Weekend Radiology Technologist Performs
diagnostic radiographic procedures adhering to the principle of
radiation protection, according to local, state and federal
standards. The intent of this job description is to provide
asummary of the major duties and responsibilities of this position
and shall not be considered as adetailed description of all the
work requirements that may be inherent in the position.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Properly identifies patient and exam and performs diagnostic
radiographic services on patients with the maximum amount of care,
while evaluating the technical quality.2. Responsible for
successful technical continuity of care and education of
radiologicalprocedures to patients.3. Demonstrates competency in
the knowledge of the RIS/HIS modules appropriate to their job
responsibilities.4. Assists in gathering and recording data for
Radiology Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement program.5.
Assumes responsibility for assigned area, making sure all equipment
and supplies necessary for that area are readily available for
use.6. -Provides educational information to the patient regarding
their examination.7. Knowledgeable regarding patient condition,
history and appropriate background andinformation pertinent to
proposed examination.
PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:
Frequent use of fingers and hands to operate equipment, pull x-ray
folders and chart information.Walking or standing for up to 8 hours
per shift in 30-minute increments. Pulling, pushing and lifting
patients up to 300 pounds with assistance. Listing and moving
objects of up to 30 pounds.Frequent stooping, crouching and
bending. Frequently lifting arms above shoulder level.Hearing as it
relates to normal conversation. Seeing as it relates to normal
vision.
EDUCATION:Graduate from an ARRT recognized education program, or
ARRT registered, orARRT registry eligible. Must pass registry
within 1 year of hire date. NJ staff must be registered before date
of hire.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
Experience as a radiologic technologist preferred, and ongoing
training in department procedures. Must rotate through all areas of
diagnostic radiology. Current CPR certification required before
completion of orientation. History of computer usage experience
required.
SCHEDULE:
-Saturdays and Sundays - -8:00 AM TO 8:00 PM. - - -Holidays and
additional hours as required based on the needs of the
department.
